1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Cumbria Cleaning Co. ("we", "our", "us", or "Company"). By booking our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services Provided
Cumbria Cleaning Co. provides professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain removal, and related cleaning services across Cumbria, South Scotland and Northwest England. All services are subject to availability and our professional assessment.
3. Booking and Quotes
3.1 Free Quotes
We provide free, no-obligation quotes for our services. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are subject to on-site confirmation.
3.2 Booking Confirmation
Services are booked upon mutual agreement of the quote and appointment time. We will confirm all bookings by phone, email, or text message.
3.3 Changes to Bookings
Changes to confirmed bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Subject to availability, we will accommodate reasonable requests for rescheduling.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Final pricing may vary based on the actual condition and size of areas to be cleaned, as assessed on-site.
4.2 Payment Terms
25% deposit is required to confirm booking. The final 75% is due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash and bank transfer payments only; we do not currently accept card payments.
4.3 Late Payment
A 5% penalty may be added to outstanding amounts for each additional week the balance is unpaid.
5. Service Delivery
5.1 Access Requirements
Customers must provide clear access to all areas requiring cleaning, parking, power, water, and proper drainage.
5.2 Preparation
Customers should remove fragile items and personal belongings from cleaning areas. We are not responsible for items not moved prior to service commencement.
5.3 Service Standards
We use professional-grade equipment and eco-friendly cleaning solutions. All work is carried out by trained technicians to industry standards.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the cleaning requirements
- Ensure safe access to the property and cleaning areas
- Disclose any known stains, damage, or special fabric requirements
- Secure pets during service delivery
- Allow 6-24 hours for drying; longer if advised by the technician.
7. Limitations and Warranties
7.1 Satisfaction Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction with our work. If you are not completely satisfied, we will return to re-clean the affected area at no additional charge within 7 days of the original service.
7.2 Stain Removal
While we use advanced techniques and equipment, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains. Some stains may be permanent due to age, previous treatment attempts, or the nature of the staining substance.
7.3 Colour Fastness
We test for colour fastness where possible, but cannot guarantee against colour bleeding or fading in fabrics that are not colourfast.
7.4 Pre-existing Damage
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects that become apparent during or after cleaning.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Insurance Coverage
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance up to £5 million and product liability insurance. Our insurance covers accidental damage caused by our negligence during service delivery.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
8.3 Claims Procedure
All claims must be reported within 48 hours of service completion. Claims should be made in writing with photographic evidence where applicable.
9. Cancellation Policy
9.1 Customer Cancellation
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a £25 fee.
9.2 Company Cancellation
We may cancel or reschedule appointments due to severe weather, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at your convenience.
10. Health and Safety
We comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. Our cleaning products are safe for use around children and pets when used as directed. We recommend allowing cleaned areas to dry completely before normal use. If eco-friendly micro-splitter technology is not strong enough, the technician will advise alternative methods.
11. Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. Customer information is kept confidential and used solely for service delivery and business purposes.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, and logos, is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
15. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
